No, Al didn’t get thrown in Jail again
The Pub was closed on Sat night becuase a power transformer blew up, the power folks said it would take several hours to fix… So Al had to close…. He said he would cut down on the AC to make up for the lost revenue

So I leave the pub for a couple of days and this is what happens. We close on a Saturday night and there is a fight and Jack is hurt (I hope he is OK). Managed to find some Hite over here and I bought the Soju with me soo I’m feeking right at home.

Yes, Bernie. You wouldn’t believe. 9 pm Saturday night, full house then phhht! All’s black! I check the breakers. Nothing. I go outside to see the whole street blacked out and fire and smoke coming out of the transformer!! I took out the stash of candles and put them around the tables.
Within minutes the power company guys were there telling us that it would be hours before we had power. Decision time. The first drunken idiot that fell and hit his head would sue our ass. Drunk people with candle fire at their tables. No air conditioning. No light to see what drunken idiots are coming in or out or with what in their hands. Close.
So, my wife has 100 tabs open with credit cards and no power on the credit card machine. That was fun. Considering that half the tabs had food marked on them that was NO LONGER BEING COOKED! Meer had about 6 steaks on in the back. My dogs are eating well this week!
So, it takes 1.5 hours to get everyone out, the bar cleaned up, the staff sent home. I’m walking out the door, reaching up to pull down the shutters when ’snap’ the lights come on! Too late. It’s was all over.
Oh, well. There is always wing night!! Good luck on the wedding. Al
